After those variations, I chose three of the thumbnails to do value and colour tests of. I think of colour as one of my weaknesses; I usually default to schemes related around complimentary colours. ^^; But here are the colour explorations I came up with for those thumbnails I chose.

I ended up choosing the final thumbnail as my version to go all the way with. :) You'll see that next. 🧵

In one of my senior classes at art school we were able to do something "experimental" with our final project. I hadn't done much actual digital painting up until that point, let alone anything landscape oriented, so I decided to challenge myself with that.

Felt the need to take another step with #composition. Most of my #artwork has been done ad hoc, but that only goes so far. I was afraid I couldn’t do #thumbnails, but it appears I was wrong. These are each about 10cm x 8cm. I’ll need to make one or two more to finalize the composition. Then decide on the medium (maybe a watercolor study and then oil). I think the new medication for my #bipolar diagnosis is helping. Despite needing to travel tomorrow, I’m not tumbling into a manic/anxious state.

@jorsh I worked for a county in 2017 and needed to help migrate autopsy photos from a desktop to a secure server. I was not given any notice as to what the files were, just asked to move them. Was not a fun surprise when I witnessed the contents. #thumbnails

#YouTube zeigt (gefühlt) noch mehr Werbung als #RTL und den TV Sender habe ich bereits vor +12 Jahren aus meinem Leben verbannt. Hinzu kommt wenn man bei YouTube nach "Trailer" sucht, werden einem mittlerweile nur noch ekelhafte #Thumbnails angezeigt. 🤢​😒​

To make sure the new #NeoFinder 8.3 works well under pressure, we have just #cataloged a #volume with 435,840 JPG files.

It took 3 hours and 20 Minutes, and the resulting catalog with large #thumbnails is 20 GB in size.

Passed.

Next test.

Show all 435.000 photos of that catalog in Icon View and scroll fast.

Passed.

It's been a long time since I've been this level of creative, but I thought I'd share some #MakingComics stuff anyway, because it's always useful to see how other people do things!

These were the thumbnails for my Somniloquy comic, Never Forgotten (2014). (Available here: https://rheall.me/portfolio/somniloquy/ )

The first image was my initial pass at thumbs/layout in my sketchbook. The second is tightening up and reworking the pacing and coming up with a finished plan digitally.
