Return to a slightly dull but interesting #Thurstaston for a walk along the beach then back down the #Wirral Way footpath.
Apparently strawberry time is over and it's now the turn of sunflowers at Benty's cafe #Thurstaston. Look closer and you'll see an insect confusing the medium with the message. #CrapNaturePhotography

@RoosVonk I saw some today on #Thurstaston Common #Wirral. Caterpillars of the cinnabar moth as they are called in the UK.
@pixiepippi a little further up the Dee estuary towards #Thurstaston and a view across it from the #Wirral Way, Wales in the distance, both from this morning.

Merry Christmas! Continuing our family tradition of a walk on the beach before getting started on lunch.
Bit of rain but perfect temperature!
@vrsimility yes indeed. I haven't been up there for a while. Prefer #Thurstaston
A wide pano over to Wales from Thurstaston Hill taken in June this year. The view stretches from the Great Orme (Y Gogarth) on the left to Rhyl Flats windfarm (I think) on the right with the Point Of Ayr Lighthouse centre.
Anglesey is faintly visible to the right of the Orme and also behind the wind turbines.
