My teenage son has loud throat-clearing and snort/sniff tics.

We are getting on a plane to travel from Perth to Melbourne today. It would be nice not to have to announce to those around us that they are tics and not contagious but the sharply-turned heads and glares will make me anxious. Wish I could just ignore them.

Also, we wear masks and maybe they should too.

It eventually resolved itself for some times before coming back in flare ups. But it's not just tics, it's also affecting my speech and cognition. I discovered by accident that over the counter antihistamines offer relief, but at many times the daily recommended dose. Anyone out there experiencing the same?
