I was fooling around in the shop with some cut-offs and the #TIG welder last night.
The welds are ugly but maybe I'll finish the entire polyhedron anyhow.

Finalmente limé todos los defectos de soldadura de los alrededores y rellené con varilla de acero con bajo contenido en carbono usando el #TIG. Poca intensidad y enfriando lentamente para evitar endurecimientos.
La bicicleta había sido soldada con latón y plata originalmente, como se observa en la anterior foto. Por lo tanto opté por rellenar ese hueco de una aleación parecida con alto contenido en plata (30%).
Posteriormente apliqué un recocido con el soplete en la zona afectada calentando hasta los 350ºC y enfriando lentamente con llama de menor intensidad hasta llegar por debajo de los 150º.
El resultado final fue este:

The bells and whistles are neat sometimes (containers, or language specific things, or the remotes extension, etc.), But then I find I'm just using them terminal pane to run vim, #git, #tig, and whatever build/test targets for the project-of-the-day.
Maybe if I lived a single project alone I would tailor the IDE experience for that one thing, but that's not reality.
