Just reading this wikipedia page today because of a feels post on #tildetown. So interesting to hear about these people from thousands of years ago, worshipping gods, building amazing structures... I need to read a book on this stuff.

@fedops well, I didn't read much of the manual before jumping into it (first time I tried it was in the #tildetown server), so sorta gave up. But was surprised to discover afterwards that for many, Alpine is their first stop for email on the command-line.

I restored my Scuttlebutt config (secret and gossip.json) and it caught right up pretty quickly -- no posts for about 3 months to #tildetown -- did everyone decide it wasn't useful for us or am I just not following the right pubs to be within a few hops of some townies?
