Tiletum is a good game, but a mostly bad experience.
I played it several times with different groups of people, and every single time the game ends with a lot of downtime and the fatigue of waiting to be your turn in a level that I was waiting for it to be done.
In your turn everything is amazing (for you) and you do a lot, but others are waiting for you to finish, and getting more and more distant from the game.

Cardinal Deacon is just too powerful. This combination of cards took me to the cleaners tonight.

Got in 2 solo games of #Tiletum tonight. Tried boosting Cardinalbot's difficulty up one notch (to Cardinal Deacon) and I got trounced. Second game, I took him back down to the easiest difficulty and I won. It feels like the fair tiles influence how well Cardinalbot will do more so than his difficulty level (basically how many extra power cards he plays with.)

I even finished the 2nd game in under an hour. This really is a top notch Euro #BoardGame

First time playing #Tiletum 2 player tonight. It was fun to teach because it lent itself to teaching as you played. A newcomer should probably expect to lose as they won't see how the actions and bonuses link up. There were a few times where triggering bonuses led to other bonuses and I definitely got a Castles of Burgundy vibe. So, if you're a fan of CoB, this title might be one to check out.

Second night of playing #Tiletum against the Cardinalbot (on the easiest setting) and I trounced him pretty good - 173 to 145.

Having one game under my belt helped a lot as the connections between the different actions started to fall into place. I do find it strange that the bot never attempted to fulfill a contract as that was one of the fairs I had on the table. This game was quite the trip solo as I was constantly going back and forth between the two rulebooks. That should be cut down significantly because I understand all the actions I'm taking now. But I'm not sure if I'd ever remember how Cardinalbot handles all its actions.

Game was still fun if you're into euros. The map portion reminded me of Orleans, dice play of CoB, and automa acted similar to Viscounts of West Kingdom solo. #BoardGames #Tiletum #BoardGame #TableTop #TableTopGaming #Gaming

My free time I thought I would have earlier, quickly disappeared so just now getting around to having #Tiletum set up for the first time. Maybe, just maybe, I will play it tonight.

That board on the left is for the automa, called "Cardinalbot," which is pretty funny. Curious how this will go as I don't really know the normal rules and the solo rulebook is almost as long as the normal rulebook!
