I yesterday saw a test screening of Together 99, which is—so far, as it's not entirely finished—one of the most beautiful Swedish films I've ever seen.

There's much warmth, heart, great acting, writing, direction, and music in this film. I often find sequels tiring and think they shouldn't have been made; this film's different. It casts people into a new (and old) light as a quarter of a century has passed, in very interesting ways.

The film's super funny as well. It carries a lot of dark humour and human thought. There's so much to say about this film, really, that I yet can't put my finger on, but god, we all deserve films to constantly be this good.
