Out of sound-reduction (definitely useful for #SOF micro-UAV [*]), that could be interesting to @BellFlight to study such rotor as it reduces vortex, which remain an issue for #tiltrotor.
([*] would be far more complex to apply on helicopters for lot of things)

It's mostly an administrative change, but necessary to enable winged #eVTOL and #tiltrotor (i.e. AW609) aircraft to be used in commercial operations.
