After several years of delays for #covid and caring responsibilities, my #ChurchillTravelFellowship is unexpectedly back on. Coming to #USA in October to visit various #Timebank schemes on #EastCoast and #NewEngland and maybe #Canada particularly interested in how they help in #rural areas with #CommunityResilience and keeping older people active in vommunities. Sadly with #ClimateChange and #ExtremeWeather events think #Timebanks may prove remarkably useful for that sort of thing. Would love to connect with people doing things like #RepairCafe #foodwaste #CommunityComposting or other #SharingEconomy type things while I'm out there.

Any #Timebank #Timebanking folk on here? Amongst many other things that I do.. I have a travel fellowship to explore benefits of rural timebanking, especially to support older people to stay connected to their community. Travel plans have been delayed by family illness and covid but I need to complete my travels and report by June 2024. Would love to connect with any #Timebanks on here especially #rural ones.. for the US folk..I know Chris Gray and speaking to her next week

Interesting development work afoot . . Recent startup by a small UK coop, of a #credit_commons (actually, a *trade* commons?) led by a hand-holding approach to the partnering of traders, rather than full-on launch of a software-led platform
