I'm going to give my #Minecraft #Timefall world one more week to pick up, by which I mean have more than one player regularly logging into the server. After that, if the idea of playing MC in a post-Time Wars environment, with strange wreckage and crashed ships scattered across the world, does not engage people's attention, I'll swap it out for an Origins-based server with mechanical tech (Create mod) only and no Human characters allowed. I haven't played aquatic MC for too long.

Augh. Went to play some #Timefall on my work break and I got stopped with something I dont have the time (my break duration) to fix. It wanted an update of the Xaeros Minimap mod, which I did. That wasnt the problem.

#Minecraft #Timefall TARDIS Interiors: Architect

Two blocks have to be removed to get the grav shafts to work. Otherwise, this is a fully functional and visually stunning design. Engine and ARS spawn are easy to get to. The side false doors with the two roundels can be converted to ARS spawn points for more corridors off the console room if you want them. I'd be very hesitant about integrating other mods for fear of spoiling the aesthetic. This is a tight design.

For the two of you so far who have ticked Tech Mods, #Timefall uses Create, Mekanism, Extreme Reactors, Applied Energistics 2, and the New TARDIS mod. The world has been sculpted and seeded near spawn and off in a few directions with structures and storyline items. The world does not use any of the standard #Minecraft team or scoring mods, to encourage cooperative advancement of technologies. There's a 20% chance of a TARDIS in any biome. And there's weird stuff on the Moon.

The #Timefall world isn't going anywhere, 3 days since the last player logged in, and the Miyazaki world didn't go either. #Minecraft folks, what kind of server (with noncompetitive, cooperative play storyline) should I run?

#Minecraft #Timefall New TARDIS mod interiors: Alabaster. Not quite the Hartnell interior, there's a datapack for that one, but reasonably close. The corridor around to the ARS spawn point is far too long, making it annoying to get from the entrance or console room to the rest of the ship, but at least there's some workspace involved. A bit of remodeling would go a long way.

While the name is redundant (all TARDIS interiors are traveling), this one has the feel of someone in motion, with books, loose papers, and other stuff scattered around. The rustic feel of the wood and stone is nice, but like most interiors, it needs lighting in a serious way. As it is, it's hard to see that there's water behind the glass...

#Minecraft #Timefall console room from the New TARDIS mod: Omega. This one is challenging, a sphere of black concrete with alabaster and black glass stairs and platforms, and low lighting. The effect is dramatic, but it doesn't allow much for integrating other mods. Those who have seen the 5th Doctor episodes will know the reference here and why the interior has pieces missing.

Today's #Minecraft #Timefall TARDIS interior is: Panamax, which I had to add a lot of lighting to before it was photographable. It's a vast space, and I like the conceit of having the external door in the middle instead of at the edge, but like most interiors, lighting was poor initially.

OK, I've got structure blocks and generated structure files figured out. I can now copy #Minecraft structures from one world to another. This has allowed me to set up a couple of discoveries for the #Timefall players if they make it to the Moon.

The completed Mad Scientist Lair from the #Minecraft #Timefall world. Fission reactor with fuel farm, fusion reactor, and supercritical phase shifter, all built in an excavated cavern with a floor level of 11, lit mostly by torches.

The new reactor complex for the #Timefall #Minecraft world. I built it in a deep cavern partly to hide it, partly in case it goes kaboom like the last one did (and was in a deep cavern also, thankfully). The reactor waste is piped to the surface and run through a solar neutron converter to extract the polonium before the spent waste is disposed of. I finally have enough polonium pellets...

The Mekanism HDPE line and the AE2 chip fabrication shop aboard my TARDIS on the #Timefall server. Took some networking tricks with the AE2 cabling, but now all I have to do is drop wheat seeds into the ME storage grid and the machinery kicks in to produce HDPE pellets. The chip works requires a bit more babysitting, but at least I do not ever have to deal with that damn quartz grindstone. #Minecraft
