We had a good time at Whitburn Community Library #TimeToTalk event today with a mini #origami session, roses distributed to visitors with a floral themed poem and chocolate stimulating conversation and togetherness.
#TimeToTalk day.
Have a conversation with someone else about mental health. Don't leave it until tomorrow.

Trigger warning: depression, suicide. Right, because it’s #TimeToTalk Day (or is that #TimeToTalkDay) here’s a big thread on my recent depressive period. If you’re reading this, there’s no action required (other than finish reading it): I’m ok, you don’t need to check on me.
Talking about mental health doesn’t need to be awkward. This #TimetoTalk Day I will be WhatsApp-ing friends and asking 'are you okay?'
Are you making time to talk about mental health today?

Did you know that 1 in 4 of us will experience a Mental Health problem in any given year?
This is exactly the reason why we chose #MentalHealth and #Wellbeing as our first #Amplify topic - to encourage people to talk more and often, share important stories and also show the crucial role that creativity plays in our health and wellbeing.
Make sure you check in with those around you 💜

I've suffered from anxiety to varying degrees since my teens (though I didn't know then that it had a name or could be treated). Talking has been part of what's helped me get better, so I will always try to make time to listen.

This #TimeToTalk day, take a few minutes to ask your family, friends and colleagues how they're feeling. It might not make everyone's problems go away, but sometimes even a single conversation can help. https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/time-talk-day
