Among the other captives is a kid, who says he is the nephew of the king of Spain. This means he is valuable for a ransom, so the pirates want to keep him alive.
I sort of wondered if he might really be a fast talking con artist kid, and not a real royal, but he seemed to be the real thing! 😅

Mako's character seems volatile at first, and only gets more unstable from there. Obviously he has some issues, that are not immediately clear.

The guys get wrapped up in a plot to assassinate Lincoln. But, it's the wrong date, so it's clearly a failed early attempt.
(Weirdly, the time tunnel image jumps forward and shows the *actual* assassination, and then skips back to showing Doug and Tony, several years earlier. As if it was giving them some context? This was never explained.)

My feelings on this episode are decidedly mixed.
On the one hand, it was a riveting episode, full of high stakes tension. And the guys walking blindfolded into a European bunker in 1956, and finding a nearly identical Time Tunnel(!) is a shock I was not prepared for! 😮 😱
