@xan I also require fine tuning to mate with a #TimexSinclair1000 / #Sinclair #ZX81

Few things make me super nostalgic, but the Timex Sinclair 1000 and ZX 81 put me right back to 1983/4.
I should probably check if the #TI99 I bought a few years ago works and has some sort of proper #retrocomputing #lisp environment. I suspect my #zx81 (first computer I ever wrote some Basic code on, although the one I have isn’t the exact machine, just a #timexsinclair1000 that I found cheap) isn’t quite up to that task.
Although I’d be happy to be proven wrong re the ZX81 and it’s ability to run some kind of Lisp.

I went out window shopping at one of my local #RetroGaming shops today. #8BitHallOfFame has reopened after its original location was destroyed by #HurricaneIan. Here are pictures of some of the more remarkable pieces they have for sale.

Who wants to program their first computer from 40 years ago? This #timexsinclair1000 is almost new-old-stock. Too bad I don’t have my original one, but this will fill in the gap.
@Patches
I am thankful you are out there. In1982 I got a #TimexSinclair1000 (US version of Sinclair #ZX81 ), I learned BASIC, and bought a book on machine language programming.
I got through the first chapter and promptly got stuck at the concept of a "relative jump."
I soon learned that I could be a "user" and leave heavy-duty programming to people who understand the concepts and methodology.
C?
I tried that on my Atari ST and learned I am bad at punctuation.
