ChatGPT has some leads (which need verification, of course) -- PST is Philippine Standard Time, but only in the Philippines; elsewhere it means Pacific Standard Time. The IANA time database uses PHT for Philippine time. Java uses the IANA time database for ISO8601 style rendering.

What are the weirdest things you did with #php ?

Creating a library to work with #timezones before they became part of PHP (think they were added in PHP 5.1). It had a lot of bugs but worked well enough for about ten years, even after timezones have been added to PHP (because the library was used everywhere and it took some time to completely replace it).

Updating the timezones rules (several times a year) was awful.

That feeling of setting your alarms half an hour earlier than normal just so you are awake and caffeinated enough to attend a last minute call scheduled for right at 8 AM your time…

…because no one else seems to understand #TimeZones …

I cannot do time maths at all. Maths is not my strong point anyway, but bring time into it? I get very lost. This especially annoys my Mum, who is exceptionally good at Maths and Science, and used to teach them.
