Preparing some ink samples. I love all this ink sharing and showing and swatching, not just the writing.
Just look at it next to the Star Ruby.
I got Kaweco cartridges with this one because it only holds the short ones and the tiny converter was sold out and it doesn't hold a lot of ink anyway. So I'm going to use the cartridges and keep them to fill them up again.
But which color should I load first?
Good as new again. Let's hope it doesn't make a mess again.
And a little advice for after you applied the silicon grease: rinse it really well with a drop of dish soap in the water and then clean water. In case your ink flow isn't as good. Might be some of that sticky oily stuff got to your feed from your fingers or something like that.
First time I'm going to completely disassemble my oldest TWSBI Eco. Because with my last ink load something went wrong. It doesn't feel smooth when turning the filling mechanism and there's ink stains behind where there shouldn't be ink.
So I'm taking it apart, cleaning, adding some oil and figuring out how the hell I can get that ink out of the cap where it shouldn't even be able to creep in.
I decided on 5 fountain pens, one of which is already inked up.
So now on to the hard part.
Okay it's time to clean them and ink up some fresh colors.

I am excited what the Pelikan Edelstein Ink of the Year 2023 will be! Four of my favorite inks came out of this Ink of the Year series.
We should know soon right? It's mid December they can just tell us now!
I'm actually glad I didn't get this year's really expensive (Diamine) Inkvent calendar. I've not seen anything that makes me want to get a bottle yet. There are one or two very nice inks, but nothing really great. It's pretty hard to make something that stands out and that they didn't make before considering the huge amount of inks they have. At least if they stick to their usual style.

Ink samples swatched. They are so beautiful!
One #novickel ink (I didn't even know there is gold shimmer in the purple).
They are all a lot more fascinating than I can show you on these pictures. More deep and vibrant and even more color variation 🤩
They are all on wet watercolor paper.
I was expecting a pharmacy delivery but look! I got ink samples in the mail!
I need to find gloves first though 😅

So schön!

More of that!
I put the new ink in a TWSBI pen with stub 1.1mm nib to see the shading in action.
Also my TWSBI EF has now Rohrer & Klingner Verdigris in it.
I just couldn't resist because both inks start out as a similar teal but the one changes to green and the other one changes to blue!

I just exchanged e-mails with the owner of a small pen and ink shop and she told me, TWSBI will no longer produce the TWSBI Eco T (the one in the triangular instead of the usual form). So if you always wanted a TWSBI Eco with triangular cap, you better get one now...
I always wanted a second transparent one but with different nib size and I decided to get their last T model. So I can keep them apart.
I think I'm going to sell one or two Lamys and a bit of ink soon, because I'm very reasonable ... lol
I put Vintage Copper (from last year's Diamine #inkvent calendar) into the pilot parallel and it's nice but quite dry. But the shimmer is showing!
I'm only using it for headlines and decoration anyway.

I'm not getting an expensive converter with small capacity for my pilot parallel pen, I'm just filling up old cartridges. Cleaning them works great (this one had bright red ink before).
