Why, why, do I have a tired headache today, cannot keep my eyes open, and feel like I didn't sleep properly last night when in fact (as far as I know) I slept well throughout the night.

I did have strange dreams however, so something must have been on my mind.

I'm SO tired now - lay awake from 2.15 to nearly 5am last night.

My brain now seems wired to wake at certain times, 12.30, then 2.30 at which point I feel awake and just lie there unable to sleep, until around 5am when I can finally sleep til around 7.

Doing this every night is not only annoying but very tiring.

Several years later I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and use a CPAP machine. However, while that helped with daytime tiredness, the change in my situation was effected years earlier by the MAO inhibitors.

When I was a child, my mum used to fall asleep in the chair most evenings, and I used to wake her up. I was so considerate(!)

Back then, I never thought it would happen to me.

HOW is it, that during the day you can be near dead with tiredness, and falling asleep at your desk, but when you finally make it to bed, suddenly ZING you are wide awake and cannot fall asleep?
It's just not fair!
And then waking up at 6.30am feeling tired again!
Whoever invented this system ought to be sued.
