The real reason we're not getting a Titanfall 3 yet (impo)

Respawn and Ea know that making a #Titanfall3 would required them to actually build a complete game instead of just slapping together and launching a game mode to sell skins like they did with Apex. That takes money, resources and time plus a Titanfall 3 would require #Respawn and #EA to actually make the financial investment as #Titanfall is a franchise they themselves own so there no Disney or anyone else to pay them to do it.

Respawn and Ea simply are not brave enough to risk taking players from apex by making a newer and better first person shooter than Apex legends, it's that simple.

It's a sad time for AAA games but hey at least he mentioned Titanfall 3 and it wasn't "Titanfall is in our DNA" crap.

I have been playing #Titanfall2 since the closed beta in early 2016 and have logged over 5700 hours on #Multiplayer alone. I have also been doing a #speedrun of the campaign on my #Twitch #streams at
twitch.tv/kontributeggaming every week for over 2 years now (with a couple of missed wks here and there). This is not a brag, I still suck at the game I just think it's important to openly declare my clear bias toward what I think is the best first person shooter ever made.

RESPAWN CEO VINCE ZAMPELLA FINALLY SPEAKS ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF A TITANFALL 3
(spoilers, it's not good)

So to my and everyone's surprise during an interview yesterday CEO Vince Zampella actually showed some courage and spoke about #Titanfall and the possibility of a #Titanfall3 for the first time in a very, very long time.

“How do you do something that doesn’t confuse people that are Apex fans, but not necessarily Titanfall fans yet," said Zampella, "It's a hard question to answer.”

In this Titanfall 2 vets opinion that's a really crappy excuse, basically he just said they don't think the 12 year old skin buyers will play something that's not a free to play, so they're not gonna try.

Why am I saying this?

It's his framing of the comment before it on the shacknews article (linked below) that speaks volumes

“I hate to say yes, then people latch onto that, and then skewer you when it doesn't come," said Zampella

If there was no audience for a sequel to #Titanfall2 then there wouldn't be enough gamers to "skew" him , well at least not enough for the lead of EA's biggest studio to be worried about anyway.

This is just him spinning because of the fact the Titanfall franchise is loosely linked to the built to manipulate kids into buying skins and battle passes cash cow that is Apex legends.
