@davidnjoku I have an antenna and a #TiVo and I absolutely love it.

@spatula It was a great machine with a great remote.
I played with a couple of the Hauppauge tuner cards with #MythTV before #TiVo. Used a TabloTV for a while after TiVo, before giving up on broadcast TV (cable or OTA) entirely.

@spatula Yeah #TiVo was a game changer in its day, but streaming did it in.

I reboot my #Tivo once or twice per year, when I think about it. I'm not sure when I last watched a recorded over the air show.

I still have a #TiVo and #TiVoMini setup. We have #CableTV and we find it useful. The TiVo was the best consumer electronic device we had when we got it in 2014 (?). Now, I feel as if I spend all my time troubleshooting its network, #MoCA, inexplicable lockups, etc. I wish I could monitor its #syslog or status via #SNMP or something. Ugh.

#tivo Why do you allow iOS and Macs to stream ONLINE TIVO recordings on my PC AT HOME, using Chrome? You allow #apple, why not Microsoft? Tried fixes, open case with TiVo, no response.. jump in #microsoft

TIL that something about redirecting/blocking NTP — forcing NTP to my pfSense router — made my #TiVo service connection daily calls fail. Sigh.

Well dang, my #tivo Bolt just died. I had it like 4 years (I'll have to check).

Just found out #Peacock is no longer included in my #Xfinity subscription as of June 23. We were holding onto Comcast TV service because we love love love our #Tivo and we still have a free #cablecard (for now). We have been testing #YouTubeTV for local channels and can get everything else we need elsewhere. Tik-tok Comcast

@rose I havent done much with hardware since the days of the second generation #TiVo when you needed to patch the rom in order to run a custom linux kernel (which was necessary to enable other features -- but that was long ago and far away.) But I remember being nearly as excited at the time when things worked.

I realize TiVo album reviews are cheap and easy for #Roon and #Qobuz to utilize and generate, but they are always so awful. #QobuzUSA and #RoonLabs are going to have to do better. It is past time for them to do so. Yes, Roon and Qobuz may still not technically be huge profit drivers, but certainly they can reinvest in a replacement for #TiVo reviews. #Mastomusic

Our cable box has #TiVo built in. It records things we might be interested in based on what we watch. Things like #NakedAttraction, which we've never once seen. Or episode 5 of season 3 of things we've never seen with nobody we've ever liked in. Or Naked Attraction again. Or the news from other parts of the UK, like Scotland. Or the thing we're actually watching at the time. Or Naked Attraction. It really wants us to watch Naked Attraction.

To be fair I miss #Rhapsody music. I could get it on my #TiVo!
