Four more hours into SotTR today and had two interesting things happen. A bug where all the dialog audio just stopped (even the subtitles) which has apparently affected people for years. And a segmentation fault crash. Thankfully a restart fixed both issues but still a bit hrmpf from an AAA title.

Despite that I am having a lot of fun playing this game!

Finally started on Shadow of the Tomb Raider today and holy shit! The story so far is pretty dark and I already died at least two dozen times too! Loving it so far though.

Decided on a whim to try Battletech again. After spending time to get it to run properly (the native Linux client doesn't actually work) and increasingly lowering graphics settings because the game is very poorly optimized and general performance is shit even on the lowest settings, I found out why I dropped it in the first place..

It's slow. Like, really slow. Doesn't help that everything has a cutscene, dialogue, and the loading times between missions are atrocious. I've heard mention before that this isn't a good example of a proper Battletech game so maybe there are better ones out there but I just wanted to get into a giant armormech and do some fun turn based combat. But it's just not a fun experience.

Chennaz is doing well and already managed to complete the Trooper storyline on Coruscant. Got her own ship and traveled to Taris and already leaving her mark. Level 27 came quick!

Played a bunch more yesterday after installing some of the recommended mods by @Canageek. It's nice and improved gameplay. Also tweaked the .ini file somewhat to increase frame rate.

Got some new settlements and supply lines set up and even managed to help defend the Starlight Drive-In from those evil robots!

Slowly heading towards level 25 and then I will finally be able to unlock Gun Nut 3 and mod my hunting rifle with a proper scope and more importantly, a suppressor.

Made it to Diamond City, picked up a ton of quests, and helped out poor little Travis.

Meanwhile, my home base at the Starlight drive-In was attacked by Rust Devils along with nasty robots. It took some doing and a quick grab of a stored missile launcher, but we got them in the end. Did unfortunately lose one of my provisioners in the battle. Upgraded my defenses after that.

Leveled to 20 and hoping to make the trek to find Valentine soon.

Had a good day and managed to do the quest for both Greygarden and Oberland Station. Game crashed a few times in the water plant making me redo part of it a few times but got it done in the end. Feels nice. Now, on to Diamond City?

Finally made some progress again. Found a new camp to get some kills and xp and made it to level 16. Finally had enough S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points to build a clinic at my current home base, the Starlight Drive-In. So sick and tired of rad damage and infections. Still need Gun Nut 3 to put a silences on the good sniper rifle though.

Tried my first wide load trucking trip and it didn't go very well. Besides holding up traffic and having a hard time maneuvering through tight spaces I eventually wound up getting stuck while trying to exit a highway and failed my transport mission. Whoops!

Recently drove this large-ass truck and trailer in Euro Truck Simulator 2 which was quite an experience as I held up traffic and took out a street sign here and there.

Luckily I had an escort van both in front and back, and police cars halting traffic at intersections to keep them out of my way. Though despite that I still managed to crash head on into a bus. My bad. (Everyone is fine.)
