Toboggan was a rare toboggan styled roller coaster that operated at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach in Norfolk, UK from 1993 to 2000. These older roller coasters are increasingly rare if not completely defunct and feature a vertical chain lift hill.

Have you ever ridden a toboggan roller coaster like this? I managed to snag a ride on one about eight years ago - it's a unique experience, and tons of fun.

Toboggan slide on the Midway 1906. It's hard to tell the dimensions of this one, but the slide that the South Parks Commission built at Drexel and 44th was 50 feet high and 1100 feet long. They stopped building them by 1916 because the expense was too great for the ever-fewer days that the ice on the slide would stay frozen enough. Afternoon session by the Vingis park pedestrian bridge.
Good conditions. Hard packed surface, fast. Cold air but not much wind and a beautiful blue sky.
For some reason no matter which direction I started at the top I nearly always ended up at the same tree at the bottom (and it’s not noticeably a local minimum).
