Cleaning device drivers of cruft is exhausting. Yes, I did replace a rather central pice, but throughout I kept finding mistakes like using bytes instead of bits.

I hope they are gone, but am not expecting it.

Need a break before the inevitable humiliation while testing.

As for the core infrastructure like the kernel and flasher, I rely on the #Tock project, and want to be a good citizen by contributing my improvements back to them. So there's not much choice :)
