It's day two of my #Powershell for DBAs class.

Why don't students and sales weasels make sure students meet prerequisites?!

On the other hand, if that had been done, there would be no class, as I am the only student who has the pre-req knowledge.

Not sure if I'm going to benefit, but my current PS script is getting longer, so at least I am getting work done.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

Early bird day.

Unsettled sleep and a pre-dawn wake-up has left me unbalanced.

I'm going to lean into it.

What might I accomplish being awake before the sun?

I don't know, but I'm kind of excited to find out in my on-going juggling of mind, body, and spirit.

Maybe I'll finish a couple of lingering chores.

Perhaps I'll re-discover the fun I misplaced when I was sick.

At least do my laundry.

#Today I am feeling a lot better than yesterday. It's an emotionally labile one though. I'm well enough to do some stuff I couldn't do yesterday but it's nothing I want to do so my inner voice is having one big long tantrum.

It involves doing things that grown ups do. Mostly involving getting my care package sorted, ffs. And some medical appointments. Just getting round my ongoing phobia of *everything*. Yay.

It's also the day I have two carers around the place.

And the weather is lovely and warm which means I'm actually feeling clammy but there's carers about, so no shower for a while.

It's the little things.

Traveling for work. I have the important things right?

#Today I went to our local steel store (for the first time in my life) in order to buy additional steel pieces to continue fixing the stairs in our garden. The first pieces I had received from my dad last week. They were destined to be thrown to the trash, but he thought they would be perfect to fix our stairs problem. That got me started in doing a bit every evening when the sun is mostly gone. I must admit I'm pretty proud, especially because I'm no craftsman at all.

The garden’s a tip, a semi building site as the single-room extension goes up, but it just needs the gladioli to gladden & gay-ify it

Three days of bad sleep is starting to take its toll. #Today

Another day, another chance to succeed.

Cloudy day inside and out. The heat has been turned down, at least for a bit.

That small, probably brief, respite gives me an opening to start again.

Less heat. Less pressure. New possibilities not constrained by context.

Once more I'll start to juggle mind, body, and spirit this morning. I just need to set my balance, take a deep breath, and begin.

Good morning, lovely people! Walkies achieved, despite going down a block after I took this picture. On the book today is: another convo with the contractor, projecting and tracing the jumper/pinafore dress that could be part of a capsule (hey, Americans, when a designer tells you that you can just print out an A4 pattern on US letter sized paper, don't believe it). Oh yeah, I'm almost finished with another Hemlock hoodie dress, just the hem and sleeve cuffs.

I am still pondering my morning reading and guided meditation. Pretty typical fare for me: The interplay of experience and meaning then letting go when encountering resistance. Like the resistance I am feeling trying to distill a pithy thought for #today. So I let that go and instead will try to hold these ideas in mind as the day unfolds.
