Wanting to get back into reading, so I charged up my #kindle #paperwhite and have been adding #books to it over the last few days.

Currently re-reading (for about the 5th or 6th time) Another Roadside Attraction by #TomRobbins. I’ve also downloaded most of the rest of his books and will be rereading those soon, too.

I’ve got Daisy Jones and the Six by #TaylorJenkinsReid, Lessons in Chemistry by #BonnieGarmus, and All the Light We Cannot See by #AnthonyDoerr.

My reading tastes are a bit all over the place, and I’m never sure what I may or may not like. But if you’ve any #recommendations for books you think are particularly good, I’m all ears!

The post-beats counterculture is a fascinating aspect of the rock n' roll generation.

#ThomasPynchon, #HunterSThompson, and #JimDodge are for me the prose masters who directly inherited the tradition by reading it. With #TomRobbins is an eccentric planet X, type phenomenon that is sometimes in orbit but has his own gravitational trajectory with the other writers, and sometimes not.

These writers are at once more jaded and hopeful. Rebellious and insightful. A stew of contradiction.

#Existential angst is navel gazing through a metaphysical microscope.

As you grow, if you grow, you will find your now seemingly profound ramblings are not new nor particularly insightful except to you.

Infants find their own toes to be fascinating for awhile, too.

#introduction part three-reading. My favorite authors are #kurtvonnegutjr , #tomrobbins #terrypratchett #douglasadams , #isaacasimov #JohnKennedyToole, and #JDSalinger. I don't have as much time to read novels these days other than reading with my kids, so a lot of #yalit like #JKRowling (f-ck #transphobia ), #PhillipPullman, #CSLewis and #JRRTolkien . I also was into the #wheeloftime series. But these days at least %50 of what I read are articles posted on social media
