@HeartOfChina That’s a rather complex answer, really. Mexican Catholicism can be a mix of a lot of things due to colonization. Ex: There’s a lot of syncretism between indigenous figures/ideologies and Catholic figures. La Virgen de Guadalupe is a great example of this, as she is believed to have originally been the Aztec/Mexica goddess . So, in the expression of faith? Yes, somewhat. Specifically in this nacimiento? Not so much, beyond La Virgen.
