Mi sono un filino rotto le scatole dell'HDR nei video/film che o hai per forza una TV HDR perfetta ottima oppure si vede male.
E se la TV non è HDR puntualmente il video appare o scuro o troppo chiaro a meno che non hai un player che sappia cosa sia il tonemapping

@phil @troy_s What do you think about something like mix(v, vec3(1.), smoothstep(1., 4., dot(v, vec3(1.)))) for tone mapping? Example here: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/Dlf3RM The idea is just to shift secondaries towards white while completely preserving primaries. Should also preserve saturation much more than e.g. Reinhard at the expense of smaller dynamic range.

#ToneMapping in #Photoshop enables you to bring out details in the dark portions of an image without blowing out the lighter portions.
(I actually did this adjustment using an 8bit JPEG image file. Photoshop HDR Toning does not require an HDR image set, although I'm sure adjustments could be made more precisely with one.)

After posting a photo on my #GameDev account, I wanted to share info on #ToneMapping.
Before DSLRs included HDR, I would photograph scenes at multiple exposures & manually combine them in Photoshop. However, even HDR images can appear flat.
Tone mapping can help make HDR images pop without artifacts. It maps the brightest / darkest output of a display device to an image, then refactors the gradation.
