TIL there are individual replacement parts for #PS2 optical drives available for sale. Not just the laser like I initially thought, but things like laser arms, elevation arms, and worm motor. I honestly thought stuff like that wasn't available. Someday, I might replace the laser arm in my fat console so I could test #tonyhax with my exploit game. I've previously cleaned both lasers (which means taking off the plastic shell of the laser itself) and elevated the worm screw slightly with paper... 🧵
