I use Ansible and Clonezilla at work. It helps me to manage a lot of installations at six computer labs. #tooltuesday
#ToolTuesday I missed yesterday, but my favourite tools have to be my bamboo knitting needles. They’re lovely to work with
As for #WIPWednesday, I don’t have any projects on right now because things have been hectic, but I did recently finish a peg bag for my fabric clips. The clever slit bit was alreasy formed, as I made this with sleeve remnants
Hello #FiberArtCamp
For #ToolTuesday I have my Signature circular set. They are great for finicky little stitches and so flexible for different kinds of projects, including the shawl I have going right now.
Included in one of the pictures below is also a really lovely yarn bowl that my dad made for me on his lathe.
For #WIPWednesday here are some more pictures of my lace shawl. The pattern is Carolan by Dee O'Keefe and you can find it at https://ravel.me/carolan

For #fiberartcamp #tooltuesday I would have to say my favorites are probably my knitting project bags but other than that it’s my Chiagoo interchangeables of which I have multiple sets. Pictured here are my metal set with 4” tips (some 5” which snuck in from another set) and my Forte set of African Blackwood. Missing tips are in various WIP. #knitting #fiberarts

I had a hard time deciding on my favorite for #ToolTuesday
My Addi circulars? My favorite tiny scissors? The clear plastic bins that let me see all my yarn while protecting it from moths? Or perhaps the rubbery stitch markers without which I’d lose my mind?
It could be any of those. But lately, I’m feeling most grateful for my big project basket. I can carry my work in progress from room to room, have all my tools and notes together, and clean up instantly by shoving everything inside.

For #ToolTuesday my current favourite is this interchangeable crochet set.
The curvy ergonomic handle is turned Red Heart wood, with hook ends size 3 to 7 mm

Right, now I've worked out which day of the week it is!
My favourite tool... That's a big ask. But probably my Schact Matchless spinning wheel. What's not to love about that.
I don't get to sit at it as often as I would like. (I have no one to blame but myself for this.) #FiberArtCamp
Probably my favorite tool for #ToolTuesday is my sewing machine. It's just a little Janome Magnolia, but it's a solid trooper that keeps up with my nonsense.
Honorable mentions go to my seam roller and hera marker.

I tend not to have favorites of anything. I like most knitting needles (except plastic ones). A good pair of fabric shears is essential. My Clover seam ripper.
But I think the tool I’m happiest to own is a “rug loom” My g-grandmother took plans for this to the smith, and he made two for her. (Brazed, I think.)
It’s called a “rug loom” though no weaving is involved. It holds string under tension. Little rag strips are knotted onto the string to make shag.

My favorite/most used tools are my interchangeable circular knitting needles. The Boye NeedleMaster (colored aluminum), was my first set more than 30years ago. They were a big investment for me at the time, and I felt so smart having them. The Denise plastic came about 7-8 years after that. I liked the more flexible cords and the easy way the needles snap on to the cords. The steel Hiya Hiya set is the most recent, maybe 12 years ago, and is my favorite.

Day 2 #ToolTuesday
I freely admit I am a sucker for good tools. I've had too many bad experiences with poorly made tools. My crafting should be enjoyable, and for me that starts with the tools.
For knitting, all ChiaoGoo all the way. I have a full set of DPNs in wood and steel, ICs in 5", 3" and 2". Of course I splurged on the Forte needles too.
For crochet, it's the Clover Amour set all the way.
The Fortes are probably my absolute favorite tool I own.
The second day of #FiberArtCamp is #ToolTuesday :)
I genuinely don't know if I could pick my favourite, so instead I'll talk about the newest facet of my fibre art hobby: machine knitting.
What a rabbit hole, man. My friend gave me a simple Brother bulky machine, and the next thing you know I've got a standard gauge electronic machine and a ribber, and someone nearby was selling a punchcard machine and a garter carriage for a stupidly low price, and and and.
There's a huge learning curve, of course, but the speed is enthralling. I made a blanket/wrap in a couple of days, rather than several months. (Still working on perfecting a sweater pattern that fits me the way I want, though.)

#FiberArtCamp #ToolTuesday I love my Tulip hooks! (No photo today, just heading out to walk dogs)
The prompt for today's Fiber Art Camp is about your favourite tool. I could pick one of my spinning wheels, because they're pretty cool and not what people think of when them think of spinning wheels, or my various sets of needles, but I think the thing I like best and use the most is my yarn holders from Hansen Crafts. They're nice and solid, well-designed (the shaft fits in the base when not in use) and stop my yarn from rolling all over the place. Super useful.
