#Tootdon for PC et Android

J'ai installé cette appli sur mon PC (?) il y a plusieurs années, je me demande si elle est toujours utile.

Une des fonctions, si je m'en souviens bien, était de remplacer le bouton Pouet par un bouton Publier :).

Apparemment, cela s'installe uniquement sur MS Windows... je suis sur Ubuntu ?!

Pourtant, #Tootdon est bien dans ma liste d'appli !

So I just learned #Tootdon is ending service. Tempted to still use it regardless. It was the best one I've found, especially layout wise.
It does has a bug where it crashes if you try to save an image, but I don't tend to do that.

Any recommendations for an #iOS replacement? I'm sure more have popped up since I've last looked into things. But if nothing else I could perhaps go back to trying Amaroq. I'm happy with Tusky on Android so I'm set there.

I've been using and loving #Tootdon on my Android ... but today I got a notice that it was being discontinued :-(

Anyone got an alternative client recommendation?

And more to the point, what's the next-best (or better?) alternative to #Tootdon?

Apparently there's some controversy involving #Tusky as well?

On iOS, #Mast and #Toot seem to be the top choices? Anyone want to recommend one versus the other?

So...what's the deal with #Tootdon? Their site says they're shutting the app down due to revenue/business model issues, but it also seems like they got caught routing data to their server that they had no business collecting? Suspicious.

Bummer because I really did like the app. Pity they don't seem inclined to open-source it rather than just kill it off.

We decided to end the service of Tootdon for iOS / Android on July 7, 2019, in consideration of the usage situation of the app.
We sincerely apologize to the customers who enjoyed it, but thank you for your understanding.
You can continue to use the mastdon instance currently in use from Tootdon by accessing the website of that instance with Safari or Chrome browser, or using a client application other than Tootdon.

The iOS/Android app #Tootdon stops. No surprises here, cause that's what you get when using a proprietary app.

Are the usage numbers to low? If so, it's clearly a sign they only had commercial interest in the Fediverse/Mastodon. Or is it something else?

Folks, what could be the reason that I can't send any toots from #Tootdon App? All I get is errors. I can read own and federated timelines, but I can't toot from my mobile phone, only from my laptop. Maddening! #HelpNeeded
