70% of my manuscript (draft) is written and there is some hope of a contract. Three publishers (who read the synopsis) have now expressed interest in reviewing the complete script. Fingers crossed and prayers, pls.

My manuscript has evolved and my thinking about it even more. I’ve pretty much ditched the idea to call it autoethnography. I will transgress genres but am now less concerned with the label. It will not be an academic treatise, nor a work of pure fiction. 68% done.

I got up early today, made coffee, and started to read through a draft. I printed it out on Monday and have been waiting impatiently all week to have time to read it. I’m getting a good feeling from reading it. I’ve made progress. Some structural issues are solved for now. I have a story to tell.

I printed out my draft today. I feel good about it. I have a story to tell and I know how to write, re-write, re-write, and re-write. The day before yesterday I told a good friend about my project. She insisted on reading the draft. So far I have written about 46% of the expected 50 000 words. Yay, me!
