I got the GDA-600 in the mail. I have to say it’s not as good as my main , but its either my second favorite or a close third. I would definitely take this over a similarly priced DS DAC that gets crazy ratings from the objectivists at Audio Science Review. I also think it sounds better than the affordable multibit DACs of today.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with it but my initial impressions are favorable.

Home-made amp, running output valves in SE pentode mode. Makes about 5 watts. Top sheet is brass, exactly the size of an LP.

To the right, a raspberry pi running , optically connected to a external DAC.

Sound is (ahem) effortless and dynamic, unlike the majority of shop bought amps (of which I've tried many).

Tunes are via set to max quality.
