Checking this out from 2017. I played some TORG back in the early 90s and then sorta forgot about it. I think the drama deck mechanic is pretty interesting in that it gives players more agency in the game. Guess we'll see how this version is.

Now that I’m in #Houston I am tempted to run ALL the #TTRPG campaigns, but realism says pick one or two.

Top contenders:

1) #PBTA #ShadowRun year-by-year through its history

2) #Traveller mixed with other sci-fi, with jump keys as hereditary

3) #Torg blended setting dimension-hopping through mirrors (with a lighter system)

4) West Marches drop-in case files with #NightsBlackAgents & #DeltaGreen

I may need to hire a life coach just to help me choose! Input is welcome!

A multiversal #TTRPG setup I’ve used several times:

Take #FengShui’s junctures, but sub RPGs for the eras / genres. Import #Torg’s cosms over the top, with Core Earth as the Netherworld. Each RPG gets its own laws of reality.

@chgowiz Ulisses Spiele, publisher of #TORG, #TDE, #FadingSuns is on board with ORC and actively working with their pre-existing organization of Germany based #TTRPG publishers to ensure that #ORC meets German (and possibly EU) legal standards as well as US. Until probably CR took off, TDE (Das Schwarze Auge DSA in German) was Germany’s (and likely Austria’s as well) most popular TTRPG. It is a very rich setting that is now also in its 5th edition.

3. #Torg Doing things in a cool way should be better, not harder.

5. #Witchcraft. Open world urban fantasy
6. #BarbariansofLemuria Simpler is better and more hard-hitting.
7. #Pendragon. Focused play, generational play. The "why" of what you do is more important then the "how". Epitome of rpgs

@cengler My Pathfinder game is online using Foundry. In person I've been playing #StarTrekAdventures, and I've got a #torg game in the wings starting in January. Not much board gaming, unfortunately, though I did start a game of Gloomhaven with the fam, we need to get back to that.
