Just received an email from Hydro Ottawa regarding severe thunderstorm and the tornado watch. And for updates they suggest to follow their Twitter account. BUT it’s impossible again to access to Twitter without an account! I don’t have an account there anymore, and I know where to get updates elsewhere, but this shouldn’t be their only source to send updates to the population!

Freezing rain storm turn thunderstorm has almost all of central Ontario blanketed in lightning & heavy rainfall/wind warnings. Also #TornadoWatch on southwestern ON (across from Detroit)🌪️ ⚠️
Only antenna operational in the attic for the scanner RX Fire running storm related calls & and Paramedics running all over as well (less storm related - more due to provincial government health care cuts to hospitals keeping ambulances stuck waiting to transfer care)

Related: if you can't tell the difference between a tornado watch and warning, this should help. (And hopefully you can extrapolate what a tornado emergency is from this.)
