Great performance of Mozart Requiem last night by TSO and Toronto Mendelssohn Choir conducted by Michael Francis. Intriguing first half of programme included Mozart's Masonic Funeral Music, choral works by Gregorio Allegri and Hildegard von Bingen, and Beethoven's Grosse Fuge (kind of the "heavy metal" piece, as the conductor described it.)
