The hottest #july on record has not been kind to the #torreypine nursery I’ve got on my porch! Starting with nearly 40 saplings sprouted from seeds collected in the #carmelvalley suburbs, 20 have survived, and most are exhibiting browning and other signs of strain. The ones that survive the summer will be planted in various innocuous locations in City Heights come November, and in December, it’ll be time to plant more seeds! #guerillagardening #sandiego #nativeplants #2023
