When you vote for a politician, you vote for the party as well.

That means you are enabling them to enact ALL of their policies. Not just the ones you like. ALL OF THEM.

So if you voted Tory because of their tax policies, or their "pro business" policies, you alos voted for their xenophobic, nay.. racist, policies regarding immigration. And it doesn't matter how often you may personally claim not to be a racist/xenophobe. YOUR vote enabled them to act as they are, and they will happily do it in YOUR name.

So accept the responsibility. Admit you enabled them. And maybe come the next election take a look around and see if someone else aligns better with your "not racist" beliefs...
