Tourism sucks totally. People should limit very seriously their consumption of other territories... it's not nealthy for anybody involved.
Only because people from rich countries don't know what to do with their money and time, they shouldn't just travel mindless around the globe.
There is so much to discover near your home, while fighting global capitalism...
Go visit a climate camp blocking a mining site or similar, I promise the experience will touch your soul.

The argument that tourism brings cultures closer is similar to the notion that television has educative value.
