Valley of the Gods in the morning light with bonus moon.
This aerial photo shows a few of the sandstone towers and cliffs that make this area so very special. Located in SE Utah and administered by the Bureau of Land Management, there is no fee for entrance or camping. You can see my pickup camper in the bottom third of the photo.

Spider Rock in Canyon de Chelly National Monument, AZ
There were many small, heavy clouds moving across the sky casting shadows into the canyon. I decided to post process the photo using the Orton Effect to contrast the soft and hard portions of the image.

Is there such a thing as #TowerTuesday? This is the 12th century Round Tower at Kilmacduagh Abbey in #Gort #Galway #Ireland. A place of refuge for the monks in case of attack, it has only one door, located 8 meters from the ground.

My dipole is holding up well in the winter wind, but I want to move the counterweights down so one side just touches the ground and the other side is hovering an inch or two above ground.

Goal:
*to promote hamradio,
*to find operators among themselves,
*as an opening for a conversation of discussion & find ideas. Allowing operators to become more active on social networks...

* Discone in foreground. 25MHz to 1.3GHz.
* Diamond X30 behind it, 2m and 70cm.
* Comet H422 on 40ft mast at back corner of house. 40, 20, 15, and 10m rotatable dipole.
Not visible:
* 40m end fed half wave at 20ft around back yard perimeter.
* 1090MHz and 978MHz ADSB receivers on shed in back yard.
