Found this tile near South Station in #Boston purely by chance after our flight was cancelled and we had to run to catch a train instead (at least we were able to work something out to get home). Anyway…it’s the only tile I know of in Boston, but I’m not sure if that’s because I don’t have enough eyes in Boston or there just really aren’t any others up there.

Along with #Freedland & #Toynbee (among others), with full-throated encouragement from @guardian Editor-in-Chief Kath #Viner, Rafael #Behr essentially led the #Guardian’s five-year-long assault on #Corbyn & his leadership team - thereby legitimising the #ZionistLobby’s #ItWasAScam #FakeAntiSemitism slur and giving the #FarRight press & #BBC state media “permission” to jump on the “destroy Corbyn” bandwagon!

Whilst they won’t admit it, #Behr et al & the Guardian fundamentally betrayed what remains of #British democracy & probably destroyed any future possibility of a #DemocraticSocialist government in Britain!

Having helped return both #May’s & #Johnson’s #Tories to power in 2017 & 2019, Behr is today ⤵️ rightly savaging the #Tories & #Sunak for having “no new ideas and nothing to say about the problems facing Britain, most of which are the product of choices made by the party he leads. This is the point of no return, when Conservatives realise that renewal in office is not possible, and that they need to be in opposition almost as much as the country wants them out of government.”

Problem is: after three-years of giving @UKLabour “leader” Sir #KidStarver & his Shadow Cabinet of #Blairite nondescripts & no-hopers a “free pass”, the Guardian is also belatedly waking up to the fact that the #Mandelson-influenced ‘heart’ of #Labour thinking is suffused with such vapidity as to make it utterly clueless in the face of the crises we all now face!

The country is at an historical crossroads heading into the 2024 general election yet, all the evidence available strongly suggests that neither the party currently in government nor the opposition (& potentially the next party in government) have got the “nous” or the “balls” to do what they both know *must* be done for the sake of the country and the future of the planet!

I’m sorry but if you think that, after #Starmer gets into power with the kind of super-majority that #Blair had (as predicted by some polls), he’ll reverse all the #Establishment/ Big Business- pleasing policies that he’s been promulgating (having U-turned on all the promises he made during the leadership election) then I think you need to have a few words with yourself!

The notion (as some sycophantic journos in #Grauniad like #Toynbee & #Behr are peddling) that Starmer is gonna turn into a some kind of ‘acceptable Corbyn’ (on eg ramping up on Climate Crisis/ Green New Deal) after he’s elected is risible!

Reality is, Starmer is a Right wing authoritarian & a racist (viz Labour Files) who only cares about power for its own sake & when he gets it he’ll use it to benefit the 1% - just like the Tories he replaces!

Just read Rafael #Behr’s piece in today’s #Guardian @guardian: “The Tories are suffering from Dorries syndrome: paranoia steeped in denial”

Behr stood, & still stands (alongside Polly #Toynbee), at the forefront of those who betrayed #Corbyn & who now lionise #Starmer the #KidStarver!

He’s describing a #Tory party that has run out of ideas, is drowning in its fear of admitting its mistakes & is finding “comfort in pursuit of traitors, scapegoats and in conspiracy theory”.

Yet when you read this ⤵️ paragraph, you’d be hard pressed to know which political party he was describing: #Tories @conservatives or #Labour @UKLabour - which also has no serious ideas of how to get Britain out of the mess that we’re in!

“A party that dares not incriminate markets in its analysis of unfairness, and that refuses to grasp the levers of tax-and-spend to engineer equal opportunities, looks instead to grievance rooted in culture and identity. That is the appeal of “anti-woke” campaigns.”

This #ToynbeeTile lives in west Philly near #UPenn. You can see the classic white on black with a red border in the center, plus auxiliary plaques above (white) and below (blue). Unfortunately, the text on the plaques was quite degraded by the time I verified this tile, so all I can make out is a typical exhortation to “make & glue tiles”. Pity the poor British voters - not much to choose from. It reminds me of that Monty Python sketch where you could order any lunch but it was always off the menu unless it was spam. I dunno what 'spam' is but it sounds bad. Yup, that's UK party politics: 100% spam!

I think the headline of this article is incomplete. It should say:
