Aaaalso. Ganz naheliegend: #BitLocker deaktivieren. #TPM löschen. Zittern. BitLocker wieder aktivieren. Bei jedem Konto die PIN-Rücksetzung starten und wieder mit dem #Microsoft Konto verbinden.

Today I set up Secure Boot on one of my #NixOS machines. After I found the reason for the beloved `error: infinite recursion encountered` issue (I forgot to add lanzaboote as an argument via specialArgs), it – just worked.

Then I continued to set up LUKS unlocking via a #TPM sealed key. Also really easy.

I'm amazed.

On one machine I would like to set up #SecureBoot. I use grub as it offers redundant bootloaders via the mirroredBoots options, which makes it incompatible with #Lanzaboote.

If #Windows11 is so great, why is lagging so far behind #Windows10 in global market share YEARS after release?

Losing the #TPM support would probably improve your base.

Personally, I can't even imagine surrendering my PC's security to an organization whose own updates can generate #NSA warnings warning you to not install it.

We need to push for a new standard in #CryptographicCamera technology, where every camera has a built-in #TPM and uses its own unique, immutable key to #CryptographicallySign every photo and every frame of every video that it shoots.

That way, if someone claims to have photo/video evidence of a crime being committed, they can prove its authenticity by submitting the #CryptoCamera along with the evidence it allegedly captured.

Of course, these cameras would need to close the #AnalogHole, perhaps by disabling the signing feature whenever they are shooting a screen of any kind (TV/monitor, projector, phone, tablet, etc.), though other countermeasures should be explored as well. And yes, it would be theoretically possible for a determined and sophisticated attacker to spoof the #CryptographicSignature and make a #deepfake appear as if it had been signed by a #CryptoCam, but that would be a significantly higher barrier to entry than simply creating the deepfake itself.
