Texas Rangers Frank Hamer and Duke Hudson in Del Rio, 1906. They are at the beginning of their careers. Hamer became perhaps the most famous Texas Ranger of all time and was nearly killed on several occasions. 28 years after this photo was taken, Hamer was put on the trail of Bonnie and Clyde and, along with several other men, killed the two outlaws in an ambush in Louisiana. Hudson later became sheriff of Grimes County.
