A reminder that anyone who uses the term "trackless tram" is scared shitless that someone will point out to them that we already have a word for that idea: it's a bus.

It has rubber wheels and drives on a paved road. A driver controls its speed and direction. It can drive around obstacles or even down alternate routes, things trams can't do. This is a BUS.

Which is kinda good because, overall, buses are slightly better than trams. It's just silly that they made a bus in the shape of a tram and refuse to call it a bus because a bus did something to them as a child or something.

Give me a break, I don't *know* why someone would be scared of buses.

Trackless trams are the new hot thing in public transit. But, are they really just buses running in special lanes? Do they actually solve any problems not better solved with other forms of transit?
