Some of the exchange group would like me to play them an “English waltz” at it but apparently the samples I offered them, Harry Gidley’s from the West Country and the Veleta as played in Suffolk don’t count… I think they really just want slow and a bit less oom-pah-pah feeling?

Hi #MastoDaoine, anyone have any tips on a good #trad session in and around #Dublin ? Went to the #Cobblestone yest but there's so many tourists even at opening time it was hard to get a spot where we could actually hear the music proper. Maybe there's a better day for it there? We'd a great time all the same but I'd like to show my in laws some proper music sessions. Also would like to know for me! Feel I haven't been at a decent session in ages. Would of course like to avoid temple bar.

Three days climbing below the col de l’Ancrenaz in Aiguille rouge. The view on massif du Mont Blanc from the bivy is stunning. The proximity of the spring « des eaux noires » and the tranquility of this place makes it easy to enjoy a long stay at the bottom of the cliffs.
Climbs:
- les noces d’étain
- pharaon d’un soir + colosse aux pieds d’argile
- songe d’une nuit d’hiver.
