As Meta may've hired many ex-Twitter staff, my guess is Musk's legal team will be working on an accusation of 'inevitable disclosure' on the basis that even if they formally agreed not to utilise knowledge of T's organisational practices, their tacit knowledge of T's workings would inform how they run Threads;
not an easy case to prove & unlikely to get to court IMO

I thought it would be nice to stop in and say hi. You know, just introduce myself and make another networking partner.
The guy (turns out it's the owner) at the counter wouldn't talk to me at all, saying something like "there's smart people out there trying to get information about my business".
News flash dude - none of your "trade secrets" are that secret. I was just trying to learn about you and your business to see if there might be potential for a mutually beneficial partnership. Or just buy you a coffee and share war stories.
Here's the lesson - don't be like that guy. Be friendly and #network - competitors are not enemies. You never know when a competitor could be your next best referral source. (Speaking as someone that gets a LOT of referrals from a different competitor in town)
