Today's #Ska album is one I'm not entirely sure how to classify:
Epic XVIII - Stop Procrastinating
I think it's mostly #TradSka. But the vocals, among other elements (bits of Punk, Jazz, & Modern Ska moments) make that feel less intentionally Trad than something like The Prizefighters. But fans of that album are absolutely who I'd recommend this to.

Today's #Ska album rec is:
Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra + Victor Rice - Heritage (On Bartók's Path) (2023)
This Hungarian band mixes #TradSka with some traditional Hungarian #Folk. And it makes for a really cool sound! And even if you aren't sold on that it's just a really solid Trad and instrumental album, even a bit of #SkaJazz sneaking in there.

Likewise, Eastern Standard Time have a new #Ska album out that nearly slipped past me:
Eastern Standard Time - Clockwork
Lots of Soul, R&B, and Motown energy throughout this #TradSka and #SkaJazz album. And it's really great! This is well worth a listen. Especially if you're going to #Supernova, where they'll be playing 4(!) sets. Backing legends like Stranger Cole and Sister Nancy.

Another #Ska album to check out from last week, just in case anyone missed it is:
The Prizefighters - Punch Up
I'm sure #TradSka fans are already all over this, but their ability to play pitch perfect Traditional Ska can't be overstated. The vocals occasionally miss the mark for me, but that's personal taste. And this is still among the best Trad albums we'll get this year.

Today's #Ska rec is the kind of album that probably isn't necessary, but I'll never complain about:
Ska Beat City - Ska Beat City Sings Jamaica
This Argentinian band is covering classic #TradSka songs in a relatively classic Trad style. And it's just a real warm blanket of an album. Plus there's a whole host of cool features throughout.

#Ska album rec for the day has been out for a couple weeks, but only just made its way to Spotify:
The Officinalis - BACK TO SORRENTO
It's instrumental #TradSka and #SkaJazz from Italy, that I'm finding incredibly easy to listen to. Downright relaxing even. Well worth checking out if you're into this kind of stuff.

Yet another great new album for today's #Ska album rec:
Boss Capone & Patsy ft. The Upsessions and Tommy Tornado - Kings & Queens
Just an enormous pile of Boss Reggae, Trad Ska and Rocksteady artists collaborating on a primarily #TradSka and #Rocksteady album. It's a real gem, and one you absolutely shouldn't miss.

Yeah, few surprises for this week. I listened to that CMAT record a lot. If you're a #tradska fan though, I definitely recommend that Andres Cotter album though!
