The statistics on US #TrafficDeaths are *appalling*.
This piece makes me wonder if anything can ever be done about any easy to solve problem in a polarised land.

This is such important reporting that Jose Fermoso & @theoaklandside have done here, documenting every single car-related death in #Oakland last year. Every community needs this, and to look closely and ask how so many preventable can be tolerated.
