Damn. Slept in this morning and was planning a big run.. Well I'm going anyway as I'm due loads of time and no early meetings in the diary. Still a big concern over two back to back weekends of half marathons and I'm not confident about my feet yet. We'll see how today and Wednesday go and decide from there. I hate being injured and not running well. My mental health deserves some pain free running right now

Today I did my new stretches, wore my new orthopedic inserts for an hour (an hour gets added each day), and hot/cold water therapy on the foot. Damn, I couldn't stand heat in it. I'm so hoping this fixes the year of plantars. I have runs to book!

New plantar fasciitis exercise before yoga this morning. A new PF regime of hot/cold foot baths, iced bottle rolling, hard ball rolling and orthopaedic inserts for non-running shoes. I'm hoping this allows me to do all my runs this year that I've yet to buy, 30+!

As usual went to bed early looking forward to a lie in. (The wife doesn’t like Hogmanay, so in the past I used to bugger off to a bothy somewhere with a few pals, shiver around a dwindling fire, listening to, and telling, tales taller with each round of the flask, my kind of a party, but it’s been a while.)

Well … the New Year started with a bloody alarm clock going off at 00:00 — the wife determined to register for the #D33Ultra! Runners, eh?
