Having finished Cold Steel IV (just in time for Reverie!), I gotta say I'm pretty happy about the Cold Steel arc. It's not perfect, and suffers massively from a core cast that's just too big. But given all the constraints that Falcom put on themselves, they still nailed the landing. Looking forward to Reverie to act as an epilogue for both Cold Steel and Crosbell, and as an apetizer for the Calvard arc, how 3rd was for Cold Steel. #kiseki #falcom #reverie #trailsofcoldsteel #gaming

I was linked to the trailer for the #TrailsofColdSteel Northern War anime and I was like "they're going to adapt the scene where Rean loses control of the ogre powers and causes an explosion and all the anime original characters will be flattened into the resulting crater." Calling it.

Decided to try playing #TrailsofColdSteel once more on my desktop. Crashed when I was in the middle of a boss fight. Got a little too annoyed to carry on after that. May have got bitten by a general random crashing issue on Proton after manual saves. Ah well.

I know a lot of people hate him, for good reason (he's just a brat), but Cedric is absolutely my favourite #TrailsofColdSteel character. It's hard to say why, because at the core he is just so painfully banal and juvenile in his villainy. But in a world full of sympathetic villains with their hamfisted sob stories and redemption arcs, I like that Cedric retains his humanity while the story doesn't railroad either you or the characters into excusing or forgiving him.
