Just did my training for the day, which was just a 9 minute run?? Thought to myself, this #AI programme is not very challenging so far… then took a peek at Tuesday’s run and gulped! It’s 51 minutes, I haven’t run that duration in 15 years, AND it includes running as fast as I can for 3.2k in the middle. It’s not playing small now! I’m both daunted and excited by the prospect. Just did my training run for the day, it was very short and very easy but #TrainAsONE says, “Some of your upcoming runs may appear short. This is usually due to your recent running activity necessitating a gradual but controlled increase in your training and should go away as you follow the plan. Currently your longest planned run in the next 6 weeks is estimated at 98 minutes.” Um, 98 minutes??? Within six weeks?? I have never run for longer than 45 minutes! I will believe it when I see it! Anyway, while I was in town it started raining heavily and since I was in my running gear, I ran home to dodge the raindrops!

Things I've learned on my running journey since I started 2½ years ago:
• Don't be afraid to run/walk/run
• Consistent training (~3 times per week)
• Better part of the runs (80%) should be slow

Gearing up to do my second short assessment run to help my AI trainer learn more about me and my fitness. It’s asking me to do this:
- Walk 5 mins
- Easy run 5 mins
- 2 mins very easy preparation for
- Run as far (not necessarily as fast therefore) as I can in 6 mins
- 1 min recovery, building up to
- 5 mins easy run

I tested two algorithm-based #training services for #runners (#TrainAsOne and #RunningCoach) over the last two months.
Both of them were disappointing, because they failed to synchronize data (each one in their own way).
As I have to get serious now for the planned #halfmarathon at the end of May, I switched back to a manual plan that adjusts based on test runs and #HRF.

I recently decided to change my #training service to #TrainAsOne for testing purposes. #RunningCoach needs to be reconnected to #Strava after each session to restart syncing. I am not going to pay for such a bad #UX. On top, I found the awesome #HealthFit app, which connects to a ton of targets. Today’s #run is my #fitness evaluation for TrainAsONE.
