An American PI is sent to a small isle in the Philippines to find Shitao, the son of a phama millionaire (god?) But no luck. Another lead sends him to Hong Kong. One of the most rapturously beautiful films I've ever seen. Tran's composition, his use of space and natural light make Hanoi's everyday life like a fantasy. The film concerns 3 sisters and their spouses and love interests. It's a typical infidelity themed melodrama but it's so gorgeous to look at.
