Presently the hatred and outright lies told about trans people makes life pretty shitty for those of us living in hostile communities. There is ample evidence to come to the conclusion that we are not faking, we are not crazy and we are not a threat. And yet, the campaign of hate and erasure continues.
I hope that one more research study will make a difference, hope keeps me going.

Maybe such research will support legal arguments against the anti-transgender movement and the legislation that seeks to erase us from society. That is an answer that will take a long time to resolve.

I’ve heard about these studies in brain activity using MRI scans of “avg male / avg female “ and transgender people. Will research that supports the notion that trans women think like women and trans men think like men have any impact on the horrible way transgender people are viewed and treated?

Tuned into a #TransgenderAwareness panel at work.

Mostly covering basic courtesy around names and pronouns, but also that allyship at work almost matters more for what you do when your trans peers *aren't* around.

I was surprised to hear how often deadnames come up in annual review process. Given that you can update directory name/badge/user ID with HR without a legal name change, the tools that handle that text should yell at managers and peers when they're entering the wrong thing!

The National Gender Service was asked by my solicitor to provide him with their model of care. They`ve send different models and even one in which they actually promote guidelines which are in contradiction with their advise to my GP not to take my bloods anymore.
